Getting Around in Gatineau

Public transportation is available in Gatineau through Societe de Transport de l’Outaouais. It offers regular bus routes, as well as a rapid transit system. It is important to note that it doesn’t serve Ottawa, which has its own public transit system—OC Transpo. Those who are commuting to and from Ottawa will find that the tickets are not interchangeable but passes and transfers between systems will not require a surcharge.
